Purpose and Structure

The Alumni Leadership Council (ALC) serves in support of Alumni Relations’ mission to develop lifelong mutually beneficial relationships between alumni and �������� through connected community, constructive communication, committed service, and a culture of contribution. 

The Council is led by an Executive Committee comprised of three elected officers; Chair, Chair-Elect, and Past Chair. In addition to elected officers, there are 9-12 representative members nominated by alumni, the ��������Community, or self-nominated (total of 12-15 members). All representative members are appointed by the Council. The Senior Director of Alumni Relations and Director of Alumni Relations are ex-officio members of the Council.

Council members may serve three-year terms beginning July 1 of the year selected with a maximum term limit of two terms and are expected to attend quarterly meetings each year. The meetings will constitute three, 1-½ hour virtual meetings and one in-person retreat spanning two days. These meetings are viewed as mandatory, but if a situation arises that makes attendance impossible, members should contact the Chair. 

 Alumni Leadership Council Member Role/Responsibilities

• Support the mission and goals of Alumni Relations through the ALC
• Possess an understanding of the current programs and practices of ��������
• Serve as a positive ambassador and advocate for ��������Seminary, representing ��������in each member’s local community including: talking with prospective students, connecting and creating connections among alumni, representing the interests and views of the alumni body, and participating in/hosting local alumni events and activities
• Be an influencer in sharing passion for ��������with fellow alumni, donors, friends, and the broader community
• Share with fellow alumni the important ways to stay connected to Fuller
• Attend and actively contribute to ALC meetings
• Attend and actively contribute to committee meetings/calls
• Contribute ideas to create more meaningful services from Alumni Relations and the ALC to our constituencies
• Recruit volunteer leaders with passion and commitment to serve ��������and its alumni and constituencies 
• Represent the ALC at ��������events
• Participate in the Annual Fund in support of ��������Seminary with a personal financial contribution every year which demonstrates your commitment to the success of ��������Seminary

Executive Committee Responsibilities

• Define, communicate and support the goals of the ALC 
• Guide committees and ensure their work advances ALC goals
• Evaluate Council members and Committee Chairs
• Identify and recommend potential leaders for the ALC and to serve on the Executive Committee
