Academic Programs
MS in Marriage and Family Therapy
Within a community of dedicated faculty and supportive cohort members, students are prepared for licensure as skilled therapists with a theological understanding that richly informs their work.
Doctor of Marriage and Family Therapy
This hybrid program provides advanced clinical training and greater knowledge in assessment and research for already licensed therapists practicing in clinical settings including private practice, community agencies, schools, hospitals, or universities.
This program prepares students to provide therapy and assessment services to diverse populations in various settings (including private practice), to understand and apply research in helping clients thrive, and to teach in many settings.
This program prepares students to generate and publish research, to teach in undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral settings, and to provide therapy and assessment services.
Collaborative Training and Research
Through dozens of research projects our students and faculty work together to better understand neuropsychology, stress and trauma, worship and health, the role of religion in psychotherapy, and more.

FPFS is our on-site community clinic providing therapy in five languages and neuropsychological and personality assessments.
The Thrive Center researches how diverse people thrive. The empirical research focuses on spirituality, religion, virtue development, and purpose. Our interdisciplinary scholarship integrates philosophical, theological, and psychological perspectives to further understand thriving and spirituality.
Exceptional Clinical Training
Our faculty are closely involved in each student鈥檚 training experience, helping shape the development of their clinical skills and knowledge through classroom instruction, small group consultations, and direct supervision. Our clinical training features a broad network of clinical sites, comprehensive training, and integration of spirituality and psychology.
